We’ve all heard it — after the cake is eaten and the flowers have died all you have left from your wedding day are your wedding photos. It’s true. But what do you do with those photos besides share them on Facebook or Instagram getting hundreds of likes and comments about how beautiful your day was?
Here at Acorn we love designing wedding albums for our couples that tell the story of their day for them to share with their children and grandchildren for years to come.
I was reading an article in Professional Photographer Magazine recently and it talked about how our generation is being referred to as “the lost generation” because we’re no longer recording our histories in the same way that past generations have done. Yes, we have millions of photos taken and posted online daily, but as a generation we’re printing those images less and less.
That’s why I love it when our couples see the value in having an album made from their wedding photos that will last them for decades, far longer than the latest digital file type or social platform. We just had several albums come back from our book maker and I snapped a few photos to share before packaging them up for our clients.
Mary-Paige and David’s wedding is now beautifully preserved in their leather album and they even had copies made for their parents.
